Michael's background includes a BS in Nuclear Engineering, an MBA with a concentration in data analytics, and a Lean/Six Sigma certification from Purdue University.
Prior to starting KFE in 2015, Michael spent 11 years supervising the operations of nuclear power plants onboard submarines in the United States Navy.
His post-military experience includes time as a senior operations leader at a global manufacturing company, as a senior consultant for a publicly-traded company, as the director of business analytics at a large SaaS company, and as the COO/CFO for a technology services company.
He’s an entrepreneur at his core and is passionate about serving others with the heart of a teacher.
Outside of work, Michael volunteers as a board member with The North Texas Military Foundation. Michael enjoys Auburn football, reading, and scuba diving.

Carlos O. Ramírez-Puente, CPA
Business Strategist
Carlos is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Texas.
He began his public accounting career with a local CPA firm before taking a position at Deloitte as a Senior Auditor. After Deloitte, Carlos was selected to be the managing partner at the firm where he started. He also oversaw the firm’s Audit & Assurance and Information Systems divisions.
Carlos has worked with both public and private sector clients in multiple industries in the United States and in Puerto Rico.
He has also served as Vice-President of the AICPA’s Peer Review Program committee of the Puerto Rico State Society of CPAs.
In his free time, Carlos enjoys serving as a volunteer at his church, spending time with his family, and playing golf.
